BBC: Jerusalem Does Not Exist

BBC: Jerusalem Does Not Exist

By Joel Leyden
Israel News Agency

Jerusalem, Israel --- July 24, 2012 ... For the last week, the BBC has been reporting that Israel has no capital.

As for the Palestinians, the BBC had East Jerusalem listed as their capital on their Olympics Website. Which brings us to the great BBC mystery. How is it that the Palestinians who have no government and never had a government have a capital?

And where did the city of Jerusalem disappear to?

If one looks very carefully under the Islamic Jihad propaganda rock, you might just find Jerusalem sitting there with millions of people. Residential and commercial buildings, temples, churches, mosques, schools, government buildings, parking lots, trees, squirrels, trains, an airport, shopping malls and parks.

All of it under the legal rule of the State of Israel.

Jerusalem has been the legal, historical, cultural and religious Capital of Israel for over 3,000 years.

Does anyone remember King David and his son Solomon who built the first Temple in 1010 B.C.E.?
Is there any mention of Palestinians? Or was that an invention created by Egyptian born Yasser Arafat in 1964?

Jerusalem has been the modern Capital of Israel since 1948. In 1980, the Israeli parliament passed its Basic Law, in which it reiterated the legal status of Jerusalem within Israeli jurisprudence as the undivided capital of Israel and the place of residence for Israeli governmental and other state institutions.

International law experts such as Steven Schwebel, Eli Lanterpacht or Yehuda Blum provide concrete legal arguments for Israel for her claims. Israel has much better claims to sovereignty over East Jerusalem, since the Six Day War that Israel won was a defensive war on her part and therefore the territories, which were acquired in this war, do not fall under the category of an unlawful occupation.

Jordan has rescinded its claims to the West Bank in the Peace Treaty of 1994 and therefore there is no other claimant who could outweigh Israeli claims to the city.

As for Palestinians, they have never in history formed a separate state and presented a sense of Palestinian nationhood and only recently did they claim Jerusalem for their capital, whereas Jews, since the establishment of the city by King David, did. Following those arguments, Israeli side claims that the status of Jerusalem is non-negotiable and Israel holds exclusive sovereignty over the city.

Jihad propaganda: there is no Israel.
Fact: Jerusalem is the capital of the only democracy in the Middle East.

Does BBC report fact or propaganda?

The BBC bias is nothing new to Israel. We truly don't expect anything objective from the BBC. But the real crime being perpetrated here is not so much one of legal and national pride as one of pure incitement.

What better propaganda tool can the BBC give to Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran than to deny that Jerusalem is, has and will remain the capital of Israel?

The BBC is actually feeding fuel to real incitement against Israel, against Jews and Christians in a war of Islamic Jihad. We are talking terrorism and violence against the only democracy in the Middle East. Against all Western, democratic nations.

Lastly, if the BBC does not recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, then how can BBC producers, editors and reporters walk around with Israel Government Press Office cards that are issued in a nonexistent capital?

It seems to me that the GPO should suspend those Israeli Government Press cards as they simply do not exist!

Scorned Attorney Threatens to Take Down Lawyer-Review Site

Scorned Attorney Threatens to Take Down Lawyer-Review Site

A Florida lawyer unhappy with poor reviews posted in an online attorney review site is threatening legal action to shutter the LawyerRatingz.com site.
In response to the threatened legal action, the Electronic Frontier Foundation asked a federal judge Thursday to declare the website immune from any threatened legal action on the matter. The EFF contends that, even if third-party comments about attorneys are defamatory, federal law immunizes the Sunnyvale-based website from being sued for the speech of its users.
The legal flap began last year, when a representative of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, lawyer Adrian Philip Thomas demanded that his poor reviews be removed from the site. The representative said the anonymous reviews, which among other things gave him “bad” marks in knowledge, communication, tenacity, work quality and value, have led to a loss of business. Another said Thomas’ firm “accomplished nothing” and “DO NOT HIRE THIS LAW FIRM!” However, not all reviews of Thomas were negative.
A proposed lawsuit by Thomas forwarded to the review site, which sports some 42,000 lawyer ratings, sought to shutter the entire site, or, at the very least, have his reviews removed.
The EFF, in a complaint filed in San Francisco federal court, said LawyerRatingz.com is protected by theCommunications Decency Act of 1996, which says “interactive computer services” cannot be “treated as the publisher or speaker of any information” provided by a third party.
“Mr. Thomas’s claims are meritless and run afoul of bedrock legal principles protecting website operators,” EFF senior staff attorney Matt Zimmerman said in a statement. “Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act categorically protects providers of ‘interactive computer services’ from suits such as this one seeking to make them responsible for the speech of their users. Without such protections, valuable sites like LawyerRatingz.com — or Facebook or Yelp or individual blogs that rely upon user comments — simply could not exist.”
Thomas did not immediately respond for comment.

Jews Murdered in Europe

.... The Jewish nation has suffered years past. We suffer today. We will suffer tomorrow.
The only difference is something called Israel.

May the warriors of the Mossad go out, seek revenge and protect us.
May you inflict pain so deep on our enemies that it may transcend any religious embrace for the Koran.

Muslims are not our enemies.
It is those who murder innocents ... and those Muslims who remain silent as their brothers yell "Allah Akbar" as they plunge knives into the hearts of both Jews and Christians for being Jews and Christians.

Syria takes WMD out of storage: US: Situation incredibly dangerous

Syrian missile drill

As part of its ongoing war maneuvers, Syria on Thursday, July 12, this week drilled the firing of advanced Scud D ballistic missiles capable of carrying chemical weapons and nerve gas – a clear message from Bashar Assad that weapons of mass destruction are now in play to save his regime.

American officials, alarmed by the movement out of storage of parts of his vast arsenal of sarin nerve agent, mustard gas and cyanide, warned it could escalate the Syrian conflict and expand it to other parts of the region.  "This could set the precedent of WMD [weapons of mass destruction] being used under our watch," one U.S. official said. "This is incredibly dangerous to our national security." The Obama administration has begun to hold classified briefings about the new intelligence.

DEBKAfile’s military sources say that two developments drove the Syrian president Bashar Assad to this extreme threat:

1. The rebels were discovered to have procured roadside bombs capable of crippling the T-72 tank units he has just tried injecting into the battle for the first time this week. Tanks sent in long convoys into Aleppo and the suburbs of Damascus were blown up.

2.  The balance of war has reached the point that the government controls only those parts of the country where heavy military or security forces contingents with massive fire power are deployed; elsewhere, the rebels have the upper hand.
In the course of its war exercise, the Syrians fired a selection of ground-to-ground missiles which they described as capable of “hitting targets deep within enemy territory.” Our military sources say all the Scuds, the M-600, Fateh-110 and Zelzal can reach any point in Israel. They also tested upgraded C-802 shore-to-ship rockets.
American officials revealed Thursday in Washington that “Syria has begun moving parts of its vast arsenal of chemical weapons out of storage facilities.” They didn’t say to where they were moved.

DEBKAfile’s military sources report that the missile warheads and shells containing poisonous weapons such as sarin, mustard gas and cyanide are being moved to specific Syrian units ahead of field operations.

Some US officials are quoted by The Wall Street Journal as fearing “Damascus intends to use the weapons against the rebels or civilians, potentially as part of a targeted ethnic cleansing campaign.”

Others hope it is a feint to inspire fear. Whatever the case, the alarmed US official said in Washington: This could set the precedent of WMD [weapons of mass destruction] being used under our watch" and is "incredibly dangerous to our national security."

Joel Leyden, of the Israel News Agency, predicts that if Syria starts to load these WMD onto missiles, Israel will take out those missiles in cooperation with NATO.
