The Jewish Massacre in France
Despite all the media reports, this was no random act of violence.
This morning, the 24-year old suspect in Monday's horrific shooting at a Jewish school in Toulouse jumped to his death as a French SWAT team stormed his apartment. It turns out that he wasn't the lone 'far-right racist' so many in the media had predicted, but an Algerian-born jihadist trained by al-Qaida. Muhammad Merah told the France 24 news channel he carried out the killings to avenge the deaths of "Palestinian children."
Palestinian children?
No-one knows which Palestinian children Merah was trying to avenge, but it is probably no coincidence that the killings come just one week after a UN offical in Gaza tweeted a photo of a bleeding Palestinian girl in her father's arms, supposedly killed by an Israeli airstrike. The poor girl, it turns out, was fatally injured in a car accident. And the picture was taken in 2006.
But that didn't stop the lie from spreading.
The brutal, execution-style murders in Toulouse come just over a year after another, equally horrific crime against Jewish children in the Israeli community of Itamar. Then, Palestinian terrorists broke into the home of Ruth and Udi Fogel, went from room to room, stabbing them, before slitting the throats of their 11 year-old son Yoav, his 4 year-old brother Eldad, and their 3 month-old baby sister Hadas.
At the time the western media blamed Israel, ignoring the murderous culture of incitement that has existed under the Palestinian Authority for nearly two decades. Since then the delegitimization of the Jewish people has continued to intensify not just in the UN and the media, but also on college campuses and even in the church.
And history proves that incitement against Jews all too often leads to their murder.
